Travel in confidence - what we’re doing to keep everyone who travels with us safe.
It’s never been more important to provide a safe environment for everyone and to rebuild confidence in travelling with others. Across the Stagecoach portfolio we carry out regular risk assessments and we’ve implemented enhanced cleaning regimes and introduced social distancing measures, to ensure that people can travel in safety and comfort.
Our dedication to safer travel begins before the bus leaves the depot, with improved cleaning of the vehicles, using highly tested antibacterial products. Additional cleaning is carried out throughout the day, paying extra attention to high traffic touch-points of buttons, handrails and poles.
To allow for social distancing on board, we’ve reduced passenger capacity and operate a one-off-one-on system once the bus is full.
Clear signage is displayed on each bus to ensure that everyone knows where to sit and to remind them of social distancing procedures, including the mandatory wearing of face coverings.
Our predominantly cashless service reduces interaction between driver and passenger, adding another level of safety to the journey.
While we’ve introduced these regulations, it would mean nothing without the support of our staff. We provide regular briefings, ensure inspections take place and give extra training to make sure everyone works together and is confident we’re offering a safe, reliable service.
